Business Development Service Manager

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:   At the Partners/ CCIA coordinators   Identify and facilitate capacity building and training for BDS coordinators to be delivered to partners by BDS Manager, technical experts and volunteers in areas related to strategic planning, business development, cost-benefit analysis, farming as a business (Faab), crop budgets, and other;         2.Develop training curriculum and materials for farmers on records keeping and farming as a business.        3. Coordinate and deliver TOT training to CCIA Coordinators on FaaB practices, record keeping, crop budgeting, business planning,strategic planning, work plan development, monitoring and evaluation, facilitation skills and other skill sets needed At the Farmer Level     4.Lead training, technical assistance provided  by CCIA Coordinators to farmers in areas related to farming as a business, farm   record keeping and other BDS services as well as follow-up with farmers and other stake holders to make sure they understand the benefits of record keeping and its value at the farm level. At the Coordination & Administrative Level     5.Develop and update current budgets for existing and new crop varieties to assess financial viability.     6.Develop financial assessments for trials implemented by the project to analyze profitability, break even, and sustainability.     7.Coordinate with Market Manager and Coordinators on market opportunities for specific crops and its impact on profitability;     8.Coordinate with Agricultural Extension Manager and Coordinators on all BDS and assistance provided to producers;     9.Produce reports on all aspects of the project as well as ensure that reporting on BDS targets are relayed to the M&E specialist in a  timely and efficient manner;     10.Other Duties as required by the COP and Capacity Building Director.
