Library And Documentation Intern

Role and responsibilities Tasks will include but not be restricted to: - Documenting the AIF collection on the database through cataloguing and keywording, and performing research and interviews when appropriate - Overseeing the cataloguing of new books for the library and soliciting donations of new books - Exploring new possibilities and developing new materials for the library - Use of social media to promote the AIF library - Assisting in research, writing or editing related to the AIF and its preservation projects   Profile - Applicants should be students and recent graduates in history, art history, anthropology or sociology - They should have an interest in photography and in history. - Applicants must have excellent oral and written communication skills and be fluent in Arabic and English. - General understanding of library operating procedures - Experience with database programs is preferred - AIF interns are expected to be self-motivated, analytical, and able to work independently and efficiently
