Pharmacist

Doctors of the World is an international humanitarian organization providing medical care to vulnerable populations affected by war, natural disasters, disease, famine, poverty or exclusion. Originally established in France in 1980, the Doctors of the World international network now has offices in 15 countries in Europe, Asia and the Americas. 

AROUND THE WORLD
 Our projects take place where the need is greatest. Throughout the 15 countries where the Doctors of the World network is present and in more than 60 developing countries, our medical teams work with community leaders to provide healthcare to the most vulnerable groups. 

BEYOND MEDICAL CARE
 Although Doctors of the World’s primary aim is to provide medical care, our work goes further to ensure long-lasting effectiveness. We draw on our experience on the ground to overcome obstacles to healthcare and to advocate for change.   In Lebanon, MDM support primary health care activities with Lebanese partners and toward Syrian refugees and vulnerable population: we support 2 health care centers and will extend our activities in the next months. He/she will be under the supervision of MDM medical coordinator[A1] and will work closely with logistic and medical MDM team as well as MDM partners. The Pharmacist is responsible for the stock management of the MDM pharmacy, filling drug orders for the field and managing any drug/supply/equipment donations.   Job definition and main responsabilities He/she will be in charge of follow up and management of medical stock : register and update the tool, launch the orders before shortage, manage the order in and out of the pharmacy with the logistic (preparation, reception, distribution from the suppliers and to the health facilities), monthly inventory   He/she will be in charge of drug consumption’s monitoring and follow up, in collaboration with MDM partners. He/she will be in charge of reporting in link with pharmacy (weekly/monthly) He/she will follow MDM purchase and quality procedure He/she will participate to the training of MDM/partners team   Skills and experience needed - Doctor in Pharmacist - 1year relevant working experience in medical stock management. - Language: Fluent Arabic and English (oral and written) mandatory, French an asset. - Flexible, adaptable, will to work within a team and with partners - Driving license compulsory - Good computer skills: excel, word, drug management software - Experience working in the NGOs field an asset - Agrees with MDM’s values   Additional Information This position may require nights out of Beirut
