(For more information on IOCC, please visit our website at www.iocc.org) Project description Developing Rehabilitation Assistance to Schools and Teachers Improvement (D-RASATI) will improve educational outcomes in Lebanon by improving teacher and student performance, increasing community and parental involvement, and improving the school learning environment. D-RASATI is funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and is implemented by the Education Development Center (EDC) in partnership with AMIDEAST, Hariri Foundation for Sustainable Development, CHF international, the American University of Beirut, and the International Orthodox Christian Charities (IOCC). Title: Information Communication and Technology (ICT) Consultant  Summary: The International Orthodox Christian Charities (IOCC) Lebanon Office is seeking an experienced Information Communication and Technology (ICT) Consultant or Company to conduct a market search based on Lebanon’s national educational technology strategic on ICT equipment to be procured and installed in schools across Lebanon. The Consultant will provide recommended standards, quality, specifications, in addition to estimated cost for the equipment. Lebanon’s national educational technology strategic plan lays out a five-year roadmap to guide the implementation and integration of information and communications technology (ICT) within all levels of the Lebanese general education system.   Essential functions include [but are not limited to] Reviewing and abiding by the ICT national strategy Conducting a market search for available standards and specifications for the equipment recommended in the national strategy. Based on the market search, suggesting and recommending best specifications and standards for the equipment to be supplied to public schools (based on the ICT national strategy and recommended tiers for schools). Based on the market search, providing an estimate for the cost of the equipment that will be supplied to schools (based on the ICT national strategy and recommended tiers for schools). Providing a report with recommendations for standards and specifications and as well as estimated costs for ICT equipment based on the national strategy within 3 weeks of appointment.   Qualifications and Requirements: A minimum of 5 years of experience in telecommunication systems. Expertise in design and management of Information systems (Information resource Management), with particular focus on how ICTs can be effectively integrated into and be of benefit to organizations and schools.
