Water And Sanitation Supervisor

Under the supervision of the WASH Project Manager, the Water and sanitation Supervisor is responsible for the qualitative, quantitative and timely implementation of the Water and Sanitation project activities. He/she coordinates and monitors the work of all Field Officers dedicated to these activities and he/she is responsible for a qualitative and regular reporting on various components of the project.   Tasks and Responsibilities   Under the supervision of the Project Manager, to participate in the overall coordination of the project regarding the Water and Sanitation activities, To manage the Field Officers regarding the Water and Sanitation activities. To monitor the work of the Field Officers by constantly visiting the areas of intervention, To be in charge of the implementation of assessments, and analyze the need of the beneficiaries in terms of water and sanitation facilities, To train new Field Officers to the water and sanitation activities, To be in charge of the selection of Suppliers (Water supplying and Emptying of septic tanks) and monitor their work to ensure the respect of the contract’s specification, To carry out signature of formal contracts (with suppliers or beneficiaries) under the supervision of the WASH Project Manager, and participate in the procurement’s process, To participate in the liaison with local authorities, NGOs in the district and other stakeholders under delegation from the Project Manager and the Head of Base, To participate in the constant evaluation of the project (effectiveness, efficiency, impact, relevance), To analyze the security situation in the area and inform the Head of Base and Project Manager on the security incidents, To participate in the evaluation of the humanitarian situation in the region considering possibilities of new projects.
