Adolescent Programme Officer (Kubayyat- Akkar)

Save the Children has been operating in Lebanon since 1999 and is recognized for its commitment to accountability, innovation and collaboration.  Save the Children currently implements programs in Child Protection, Education, CRC and Emergency Response throughout Lebanon.   Save the Children is seeking qualified candidates to fulfill the following positions, on 5 or 6 month contracts, for its Lebanon Country Office, in Akkar: Adolescent Programme Officer  (kubayyat- Akkar) The Adolescent programme officer will support the Child Protection Coordinator in the set-up and management of the youth programme in Akkar, ensuring that activities are monitored and delivered to a high quality. He/ she will support in the implementation of a participatory assessment regarding the situation, concerns, needs and wishes of adolescents residing in Wadi Khaled, support in identifying trainers, support in development and delivery of trainings, supervise the trainers in activities and report back on the activities. He/ she will ensure a strict adherence to the principles of Child Protection at all times.   Job Requirements: Degree in education, social work or social sciences Extensive work experience of working directly with adolescents Excellent communication skills with adolescents and parents Experience in project management and supervision of staff Ability to write weekly and monthly reports Fluency in written and spoken Arabic, and either English or French Commitment  to  and  understanding  of  Save  the  Children’s  aims,  values  and principles  including rights-based approaches APPLICATION PROCESS   Please note that the closing date for applications is Oct 28th.   The selection committee will review all applications as they are received.
