Assistant Rsd Officer Noa

Under the supervision of a more Senior RSD or Protection Officer, the Assistant RSD Officer is responsible for:   - Conducting RSD in fair and efficient manner, in accordance with UNHCR guidelines and procedural standards.  - Counselling asylum-seekers and refugees, conducting first instance and appeal interviews (and/or complementary interviews, as needed.) - Drafting RSD assessments in a timely manner, researching Country of Origin Information. - Reviewing RSD assessments of experienced RSD Officers; - Providing guidance and training in the implementation of RSD activities such as procedural fairness, interviewing, credibility/inclusion/exclusion assessment. - Monitoring and promoting access to the RSD procedure as well as the protection and assistance of asylum-seekers and refugees in a manner adapted to the Applicants with specific needs. - Reporting on general trends in the relevant countries of origin and for replying to queries on specific legal and protection issues, while referring to the supervisor or seeking for advice on more complex issues. - Liaising and providing Protection and RSD-related training to external counterparts to foster a climate of trust, support and understanding and to build the capacity of the authorities to conduct RSD and provide effective protection.
