Program Assistant

GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY: The Baalbeck-based Program Assistant will provide support to the Program Manager in all aspects of strengthening local capacity for the delivery of psychosocial support, and facilitate access to key services, for vulnerable Syrian refugee and Lebanese children and their families in Baalbeck, Doris and Adouss.   ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The program assistant will help in conducting Focus Group Discussions with parents of children on a monthly basis to provide them with feedback on their progress. Work closely with the Lebanese communities of Addous, Douris and Baalbeck as well as the Syrian refugees community. Conducting regular site-visits on a daily basis and visits to the center where the activities are being implemented. Keep track of all the activities to ensure the implementation of the program is going well. Represent Mercy Corps with local officials, community representatives, and colleague organizations. Maintain accurate data on the program; Write regular reports on the progress of the program, including success stories that demonstrate impact; Conduct himself/herself both professionally and personally in such a manner as to bring credit to Mercy Corps and to not jeopardize its humanitarian mission. Other duties as assigned.
