THE JOB
Under the direct supervision of the Rehabilitation Technical Manager, you will ensure that the specific needs of people with disability/ vulnerability or at risk of disability are included in the humanitarian response to the Syrian crisis inNorthern Lebanon.
Your tasks will inlcude (amongst others):
- Networking with national/international NGOs, governmental structures and health services present in the area.
- Designing and facilitating awareness raising, training and advocacy activities and tools.
- Translation and dissemination of existing guidelines, if applicable, or adaptation of existing guidelines to the context.
- Participation in humanitarian coordination meetings and working groups meetings as required.
- Reporting to the Rehabilitation Technical Manager through meeting and activity reports, statistic reports and other
- To the request of the Rehabilitation Technical Manager, assistance with any other activity (translation, facilitation, etc)
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE
Experience working with an International NGO or with internationally funded projects.
Experience as trainer, advocate, work-shop facilitator, etc.
Good command of written and spoken English (knowledge of French would be an asset).
Able to translate teaching documents and guidelines from English or French into Arabic.
Experience with writing and communication responsibilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Good networking capacities.
Knowledge of computers and Microsoft applications
