Faith & Dialogue Coordinator

MAJOR TASKS: Develop and implement programmes for staff spiritual formation Plan and/or lead capacity building for staff on interfaith Contribute to an ethos and culture in WVL that is consistent with our Vision ad mission statement, core values, guiding beliefs, and policies Participate with HR and senior management in establishing staff recruitment standards to ensure the spiritual commitment of prospective staff. Assist in new staff orientation. Lead the development and the implementation of Faith and Dialogue strategy Plan and lead organizational F&D activities Jointly with other program managers, co-facilitate the process of integration between F&D and transformational development in order to ensure that child well being is achieved Work with management at Area Development Program (ADP) and national levels to develop and evaluate annual F&D strategy and operating plans Develop and implement targeted strategies to engage churches, Christian agencies, and FBOs in our shared ministry with the most vulnerable Plan visits to national level religious leaders Encourage the participation of churches in ADPs/projects whenever possible and according to context in the following areas: holistic Christian witness, response to HIV/AIDS, prayer mobilization and advocacy Coordinate efforts to build the capacity of staff and church leaders for effective and appropriate “Witness to Jesus Christ through life, word, deed, and sign”.  EDUCATION / SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:       Education Bachelor degree in a field related to community development work. University degree in Christian theology is preferred.  Knowledge and Skills   Personal commitment to Christ and proven church/Christian leadership experience Adequate biblical understanding, Exemplary Christian Character, interpersonal relationship skills and willingness to learn, with excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills. Good understanding and respect for diverse churches and Christian organizations in Lebanon and ability to effectively work with different doctrines and traditions Ability to present WV to stakeholders in a highly professional manner Excellent written English, with good command in spoken Arabic and English Good knowledge of WV’s ethos, philosophy of work, and core documents Excellent organizational and time management skills Ability to work in a team and a team builder Ability to resolve conflicts and handle difficult situations and sensitive issues in a volatile political environment Ability to work effectively under pressure Ability to communicate effectively with variety of people from different backgrounds, cultures and level of authority  Experience Experience in interfaith dialogue and knowledge about Islam Extended knowledge / experience about holistic child development and child well being and rights Experience in project management, design and development, program Monitoring & Evaluation, refection and learning At least 3 years experience in Christian spiritual development field, with strong emphasis on development approaches and partnerships, project development, and capacity building components  Work Environment: 40% local and international travel per year  EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Regular - Full Time  Qualified candidates are requested to send their CV to the following fax number or e-mail address: Fax number:          00 961 4 401982 E-mail address:      cv@worldvision.org.lb
