Programme Coordinator

Amel Association is a non-governmental organization established in 1979. Through its 23 centers across Lebanon, Amel Association provides access to health care services and implements development programs targeting underprivileged populations, regardless of their nationality or political and religious affiliations. Amel Association also aims to strengthen the culture of rights among citizens, refugees and migrants and promote access to their rights and their involvement in public life. AMEL is seeking to fill the position of Programme Coordinator. The incumbent will be based in AMEL headquarters in Mussaytbeh with frequent monitoring visits to AMEL centers. He/ She will be working in close collaboration with the head of centers, as well as the communication and financial departments. Main responsibilities: -      Planning, monitoring and assessing the Iraqi Refugee Programme at AMEL -      Setting priorities, proposing modifications and corrective measures for the projects that fit with the interest of refugees and the programme’s objectives   -      Identifying donors, fundraising and proposal writing for the refugee programme and AMEL’s other programmes -      Recruiting, supervising staff and monitoring performance to ensure that the projects are implemented according to the expected results and the terms of contracts -      Providing adequate training and continuous support necessary for staff -      Ensuring budget follow-up in compliance with donors’ requirements -      Producing Narrative and Financial reports to donors -      Liaising with relevant NGOs, government agencies and national institutions -      Representing Amel Association in coordination meetings with partners and NGOs -      Taking part in planning and implementing AMEL’s other programmes.     Qualifications & Experience: -   Relevant university degree in Program Management, Humanitarian Affairs, International Relations, International Development or other relevant field -   Minimum 3 years of work experience in project management -   Experience in working/ managing Refugee programmes is a plus Required Skills: -      Excellent organizational and planning skills -      Flexibility and excellent communication skills -      Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines -      Ability to take initiatives -      Computer skills (Excel, Word…)
