Utility Management Specialist

Chemonics International Inc, a leading international development consulting company, seeks candidates for an anticipated three year Water Infrastructure Support and Enhancement program in Lebanon funded by USAID. This program will enhance Lebanon’s capacity in the management of water resources through water and wastewater infrastructure upgrades and related management support. The project will provide engineering, procurement, construction supervision and capacity building services to enhance water supply infrastructure and services. The utility management specialist will lead technical assistance and capacity building activities to improve managerial, technical and operational efficiency of water establishments.  Will further work to improve business processes for improved service delivery, staff development and retention, and organizational performance enhancement and sustainability.  Qualifications: • Degree in management and/or engineering • Minimum 7 years experience assisting water utilities to improve operations, streamline work process, and improve efficiency and customer service • Experience in key technical and management roles on donor funded projects of similar magnitude and complexity a plus • Fluent Arabic and oral and written English language proficiency required.
