Field Officer

Project background information PU-AMI (French NGO) is going to provide support to the displaced Syrian population who took refuge in Lebanon. This emergency project includes activities of shelter rehabilitation and Non Food Items distribution. Ø  Responsibilities:         The field officer will be based in Baalbek Office with daily visits to the locations where Syrian displaced people found shelter (expected: Aarsel, Majdel Anjar, Saadnayel…)           He/she will: Be in daily contact with the beneficiaries, listen to their needs and problems, and be the link between the beneficiaries and the Program Manager. Be in daily contact with expatriate and local PU-AMI team in Bekaa. Participate in the assessment before starting the rehabilitation and distribution works; outreach to Syrian displaced population Assist the expatriate staff during meetings (translation); Assist the engineer (preliminary studies, construction works) by introducing them to the population and accompanying them on site; Participate in the assessment and satisfaction survey; Report every day the problems to the project manager; Manage referral and follow up of special hardship cases identified during the implementation of the project           The field officer must be able to work in a team.         He/she is flexible and ready to adapt to possible modifications of the program described above, in order to contribute to the success of PU-AMI projects in the Bekaa.             He/she also takes part in the usual tasks of PU-AMI mission, and he/she is ready to get involved in other aspects of the project if necessary.  NOTE: the position is based in Baalbek. The candidates should have the possibility to sleep in Baalbek or nearby in Bekaa. Candidates from the Bekaa will be most appreciated.
