Responsibilities of the position Interpreting/ translating   Ensure simultaneous oral translation upon request from an expatriate inside or outside medical facilities in daily activities He/she will inform the expatriate about important cultural nuances to take into account during the interview. Participate in staff trainings and meetings as an interpreter Know how to use telephones and radios, as in some cases he/she could be asked to do interpreting through them. Translate literally what is being said and avoid expressing personal opinions, unless it is specifically asked for. Is always respectful towards everybody Able to adapt to any circumstances, use appropriate language registry, diplomatic, courtesy manners. Translate MSF internal / external documents into local language(s). Translate documents written in local language(s) into the mission language. Keep record of all translated documents               Scope of responsibilities To do verbal interpretation whenever an expatriate requires it either within the medical facilities or outside. Translate documents from the mission language to local language(s) or vice versa.
