Project Assistant

Under the supervision of the project coordinator, the incumbent will: -          Develop Situation Analysis regarding the overall situation of the Syrian refugee children and their families in the targeted community. -          Ensure strict adherence to the principles of Child Protection at all times, including respect for confidentiality and child centered approach, act in the best interests of the child. -          Conduct field visits to partners to monitor proper project implementation according to approved project proposal, log frame and budget.  -          Submit periodic written reports concerning the ongoing activities of the project and targeted schools, including minutes of the various meetings conducted and/or attended and field visit reports. -          Prepare periodic financial reports. -          Particular attention should be given to the building of a strong relationship with the local partners, community stakeholders and concerned agencies. -          Provide information and advise beneficiaries on existing available services. -          Refer beneficiaries to the relevant and appropriate professionals or institutions. -          Works on all administrative issues linked to the program, in close collaboration with the project coordinator (compiling, collecting and eventually translating and correcting) relevant documents from partners). -          Maintain files, registers, computer databases and records in paper and/or electronic format. -          Collect, verifies and up-dates information/data related to the beneficiaries of the project. -          Work as a member of a team ensuring fluid communication of relevant information in order to make sure that a proper management of the case is preserved. -          Organize the logistics of programme's activities and events, mainly workshops and field visits. The logistics include such tasks as travel, accommodation, etc. -          Will be responsible of the procurement of goods and services necessary to meet the needs of the project implementation.  -          Inform his/her direct supervisor about any difficulty met in the activities implementation. Undertake any other programme related tasks as requested by the Project Coordinator.
