Multimedia/Video Intern, Short-term position

Background:

DAI seeks candidates for a Multimedia/Video intern position for the USAID-funded “Lebanon Water Project (LWP).” LWP is a five-year project that will work to increase reliable and sustainable access to potable water for Lebanese citizens; improve water management practices and enhance the efficiency and sustainability of public water utilities, while raising awareness about sustainable water use practices, and promote better water governance to help assure long-term protection of Lebanon’s water resources.

General Objective:

The Multimedia/Video intern will assist the communication team in the development of targeted messaging and general information campaigns for the project.

Responsibilities:

• Filming project activities, transcoding, and archiving footage for use in video production
• Taking photos of project activities for web and published material
• Contribute to the conception and execution of various media projects including print, web, video, and audio
• Contribute to the design of printed materials, infographics, graphic design for web, and PowerPoint presentations
• Contribute to social media
• Help out at project events as necessary

Qualifications:

• Video filming proficiency
• Experience filming for journalistic reports, with storytelling in mind
• Excellent communication skills and knowledge of basic grammar, punctuation, and spelling
• Ability to work under pressure and tight (and fluctuating) deadlines
• Experience managing Facebook pages and using Facebook and other social media as marketing tools
• Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop
• Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel and internet research skills
• Knowledge of video and photo editing on Adobe Premiere and Adobe Lightroom a plus
• Fluent in Arabic and English (written and oral)
• Strong attention-to-detail
• Portfolio required at time of interview
