Translator/Editor

Daskara team at the American University of Beirut - Nature Conservation Center is looking for a part time translator/editor

Responsibilities

• Edit, translate, and enhance our social media posts
• Collaborate with team to develop, translate and edit site content and style
• Translate, edit and proofread engaging content, including all content of our digital platform and all crowd-sourced data
• Edit, proofread and improve writers’ posts (blog).
• Collaborate with content writers to insure brand consistency
• Insure compliance with law (e.g. copyright and data protection)
• Stay up-to-date with developments and generate new ideas to draw audience’s attention

Requirements

• Proven work experience as a translator and editor/digital marketing
• Hands on experience with MS Office and WordPress
• Familiarity with social media
• Excellent writing skills in English and Arabic
  French is a plus.
• Attention to detail
• Good organizational and time-management skills
• BSc degree in editing, translation or any relevant field

We are asking for a part time job 4 hours/day.
The employee will be required to be at the office most of the time so that the team can easily communicate.
