The role of the Mental Health officer is to participate in the planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of mental health and psycho-social related activities. He/she will also contribute to the development of needs assessment plans, as well as assuring field visits, reporting, and contributing to resources developments and compilations. Other tasks related to ARC projects may be required if needed.
TASKS:
Work closely with ARC’s programmes manager, and regional mental health programme coordinator .
Contribute to the programme planning, implementation, evaluation and reporting.
Contribute to the updates of the programme Log Frames.
Be part of ARC’s research team, and resources’ development team.
Contribute to the development of needs assessments plans and its report writing.
Contribute to the development of needs assessments tools (questionnaires, FGD, key informant interviews)
Participate in field visits, data collection and data analysis.
Review and ensure the quality and accuracy of the data collected and stored (data entry)
Contribute to the review of resources, training manuals and references.
Contribute in the development of a training manual on facilitation skills.
Participate in training design and assist in trainings’ implementation.
Follow up and report on the implementation of the Projects
Provide feedback to activities for improving the programme’s performances and sustainability
Follow up and supervise the logistic work
Communicate and coordinate with the different consultants of the project
Perform other duties as required
