Introduction / Background

Codi a combination between a coding bootcamp and a leadership programme based in Beirut whose aim is to get underprivileged youth to participate in the growing needs of the local ICT sector. It is a school of web / mobile programming (free for students) and broader school of life in many ways, for young individuals who have a passion for digital and want to build a career in technology, but lack the financial means to pursue a traditional university education. It is the first training centre to foster digital and technical skills for this youth in Lebanon. More information available here: www.codi.tech.

1. Roles & Responsibilities
Areas of focus:
- Building a variety of digital services to serve client needs; and taking responsibility for the quality
- Implementing toolkits and APIs to assist with integration, performance optimisation, security and scalability (sometimes in legacy environments)

2. Profile Requirements
Technical
- Solid knowledge of server-side design patterns & continuous delivery principles (incl. UX/UI)
- Up-to-date knowledge of technology standards, industry trends, emerging technologies, and software development best practices to make the right choices of which technology to use
- Strong experience in various development languages and approaches (incl. JavaScript / CSS / HTML / SQL / major front-end frameworks and wireframing experience)
- Ability to develop bespoke digital products end to end
- Superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving skills (in a consistently systematic way)
- 3-4 years work experience ideally // Academic projects also considered
Other:
- Verbal and written fluency in English // spoken Arabic required / Intermediate to Advanced French also preferred)
- Exceptionally self-motivated and driven / Entrepreneurial at heart
- Problem solving & analytical skills (keen attention to detail)
- Ability to articulate ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Enthusiastic, well-organised, efficient, flexible, keen to learn new skills
- Previously part of a growth story (start-up or internal corporate venture) (preferred)
