Finance Officer (National Contract)

About the job 

The Finance officer is responsible for all daily finance/accounting tasks in Bekaa & south Office in line with DRC and donor requirements, In addition to coordinate/verify monthly Financial prevision and report to Beirut for financial issues in collaboration with Area Finance & HR/Admin Manager. 

Your main duties and responsibilities will be: 

• Maintain Cashbook, Partner tracking sheet, commitment cashbook, and payment schedule. 

• Monthly Cash count and Bank reconciliation; daily & monthly cash count 

• Responsible for the correct filing of monthly vouchers and sending scan copy to Beirut 

• Review the TDL on a monthly basis and prepare all rebooking. 

• Responsible for the monthly financial prevision and assure sufficient funds to be transferred from Beirut for activities in the bank account for Bekaa office. 

• Verify and prepare payments (checks/cash) and insure it’s compliance with DRC polices. as well as Follow up on payments to suppliers, contractors... etc.. 

• Responsible for national staff salaries, NSSF, insurance, communication allocations and bookings on monthly basis. 

• Cash withdrawals and collecting check books from the bank 

• Execute the regular operations with the bank (transfer orders, check payment, bank statement…). 

• Follow up on timely payment of the national staff salaries, the Volunteers incentives and all suppliers/partners’ invoices

About you 

To be successful in this role we expect you to have a Bachelor degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or any related field.

We also expect the following:  

Required

• Good computer skills: Excel, Word and power point. 

• 1-3 years relevant working experience 

• Self motivated , works well in a team and promotes strong teamwork spirit, 

• flexible, efficient, and commited.  

• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, as well as work independently.

Desirable

• English: Good written and spoken 

• Worked previously in NGO

We offer 

Contract length: 6 months until end of June 2018 

Level:  C1 

Duty Station: Bekaa 

Start date: February 2018
