Case Worker

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Identify individual cases in collaboration with CP Mount Lebanon team and through regular presence in the community;
  • Accept referrals from other agencies and community partners;
  • Provide individual case management for children and their families in accordance with all case management steps and related tools and procedures and the National SOP;
  • Ensure the correct documentation and compilation of CM forms in accordance with all case management steps and related tools and procedures and the National SOP;
  • Update regularly the database to ensure a comprehensive record of the database;
  • Ensure that all cases are addressed immediately and shared with the supervisor ;
  • Work closely with the other organization in order to ensure smooth referral;
  • Participate actively in weekly case management team meetings;
  • Provide ongoing support to families, foster and alternative care systems;
  • Communicate regularly with supervisor, Project Manager and CM Specialist for updates on achievements and challenges;
  • Collaborate closely with the other members of the CM team and the CP team;
  • Directly communicate with other caseworkers and service providers as part of conducting individual case management;
  • Regularly attend case management meetings at field level;
  • Consistently and proactively monitor/assess the safety and security of field teams; promptly reporting concerns or incidents to management and  liaising with community leaders and other external parties as required to maintain/enhance the security environment for programs;
  • To comply with the TDH IT Code of Conduct ;

Qualification and Experience: 

  • A university degree in social and behavioral sciences, preferable Social Work or Psychology;
  • At least 1 year of experience in Case Management & field of emergency;
  • Proven experience in Child Protection;
  • Ability to work well in a team, under pressure and in response to changing needs;
  • Experience in and knowledge of the Syrian situation and response is considered a strong asset;
  • High-level of communication skills;
  • Commitment to the aims, principles and values of TDH IT;
  • Personal qualities: Team spirit, good communication skills, time management and organizational skills, accountability, excellent capacity of problem solving;
  • Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English;
  • Valid Lebanese driving license is compulsory;
  • Microsoft Office: Word and Excel is a must;
  • Availability of a car is an asset;
  • Working Environment:  70% field work;
