English Teacher

Major Responsibilities:

•   Writes his/her " Professional Plan" (PP)* in coordination with the  Coordinator; provides periodic reports on the progress of the educational program.
•   Creates a classroom atmosphere that is conducive to learning using interactive teaching approaches.
• Sets Weekly and periodic subject objectives and syllabi at the beginning of the program.
•  Prepares and delivers lessons to a range of classes in accordance with the set respective frameworks, and using appropriate supportive illustrations and material.
•  Submits written students evaluations to Coordinator in a defined period of time.
•  Evaluates students' academic development, keeps appropriate records, prepares progress reports, and communicates with coordinator on the individual students' progress.
•  Manages students' behavior in the classroom appropriately in accordance with the center's and program's rules.
•   Attends departmental meetings, donor meetings, workshops, and training sessions during and outside working hours.
•  Supervises students as needed.
•  Participates in the orientation of new teachers.
•  Replaces absent teachers whenever needed. Being ready with all needed resources or materials before starting class.
•    Performs other duties of similar nature as requested by the coordinator / project Coordinator
