Basic IT Trainer

Assignment: ACTED is looking for IT instructors to provide basic IT classes to groups of ten beneficiaries in 13 social development centers (Mazraa-Bourj Hammoud-Hay Al Selloum-Bourj Al Barajneh-Al Ghobeiry-Al Chiah-Baysour-Saida-Al Wardaniyeh-Al Minieh-Barja-Beb e Tebbaneh and Sin El Fil). One instructor is able to cover one center per week.

Functions

Teach all the sessions included in the curriculum in the time given (10 weeks).

Develop pre-test and post-test for the IT curriculum.

The trainer will be remunerated at the end of the contract (10 weeks) according to the daily attendance signature list signed by the trainer, confirmed by the SDC Director and approved by the program manager and the HR manager, and the rates explained in the following table:

Train beneficiaries on digital literacy

Provide basic IT training for beneficiaries at the Social Development Centers mentioned above during sessions which are three hour long and based on a pre-defined schedule made by the Project Manager covering the following chapters:

Introduction to the computer

Introduction to Windows

Typing (English/Arabic)

Windows Navigation

Basic Word

Basic Excel

Windows File Management

Internet Navigation

Internet Search/Job search on the Internet

EMAIL

Monitor and track training feedback from trainees.

Provide record and evaluate effective training activities.

Develop a competency post-test to evaluate the graduation

Reporting

Register daily attendance of trainees of the courses taught

Provide weekly reports to Project Manager updating on training progress for each SDC on English courses.

Provide weekly work plan to the Project Manager.

Coordinate with SDC Director and Project Manager with all updates related to the implementation process.

Target audience and profile

The trainings will be delivered to mixed groups (Syrian and Lebanese), aged 18-50 with at least basic literacy and numeracy.

Beneficiaries’ selection will be carried out by ACTED.

Qualifications and Skills

Excellent command of written and oral English and Arabic.

Strong and committed interest in teaching and training, with extensive previous experience in conducting training.

Patience and positive attitude is highly requested,

Ability to provide explanation to trainees when necessary.

Strong communication skills.

Good Presentation skills.

Understanding of aspects related to group dynamics and personal psychology.
