Information Management Project Manager (National Contract)

About the job 

The IM project manager (IMPM) will be responsible for the day-to-day management of DRC IM systems, the RIMS program, partner management and donor compliance and contribute to the development of DRC’s RIMS programme documentation and policies. 

.Your main duties and responsibilities will be:

1. Grant implementation and reporting 

• Ensure the implementation of the RIMS program, including appropriate and timely spending of grant to achieve program goals, grants reporting contributions, use and distribution of supplies and resources;  

• With the support of the IM Coordinator and HoP, prepare grants’ proposals to secure follow on or expansion funding for the RIMS program as per identified needs and in line with the IM strategy;  

• Represent DRC before relevant donors when needed;  

2. Partner management 

• Conduct outreach to new partners through mapping, one on one meetings and presentations  

• Manage the process of partners’ enrolment in RIMS – data sharing agreements, Data protection/PIM discussion, organise and monitor training on system usage as well as data protection and sharing 

• Manage existing and future partners’ day to day follow up: partner usage of system, application of safeguards and personalised management of RIMS for each partner.  

3. Technical support 

• Contribute to the capacity building of DRC and partner IM staff as well as DRC staff users and support their adherence to best-practice and professional standard and principles of Information management and data protection;  

4. Sector coordination and representation 

• Actively participate in IM working groups and national discussions around referrals in particular (GBVIMS, CPIMS, PIM etc) 

5. Monitoring & Evaluation 

• Oversee and ensure achievements of targets towards donors’ requirements through overall management of the RIMS program (through the use of indicators performance trackers).

About you 

To be successful in this role we expect you to have a Bachelor degree in information management, business management or other related fields. Moreover, we also expect the following:

Required  

• 3 or more years of experience leading teams in a humanitarian context, preferably during an emergency. 

• Technical experience implementing IM programs, such as database management for NGO or private sector company 

• Experience facilitating technical trainings and workshops related to information management. 

• Experience in coordination with external stakeholders such as municipalities, employers, partner NGOs etc 

• Experience in managing teams, monitoring performance, and providing technical support and coaching to field teams. 

• Prior experience in developing program implementation workplans, data collection and analysis, and program reporting 

• Strong written and oral communication skills, effective in representation and liaison with external parties. 

• Fluency in English and Arabic required  

• High computer literacy

Desirable 

• INGO experience preferred

We offer 

  • Contract length: 3 months, might be extended  
  • Level:  D+1, 2472 USD Monthly Basic Salary  
  • Duty Station: Beirut  
  • Start date: May 2018
