Responsibilities:
- Provide animation for the Play for Purpose project within the Salamat Mobile Education Project. (Between 40-120 kids/day)
- Work to create content which is educational and assists with the children’s psychosocial development.
- Translation from Arabic to English and vice versa, as needed.
- Provide daily reports through the ODK report system.
- Drive the mobile education classroom (10-ton truck license necessary) daily to the location (settlement or school) and then back to the main office.
- Work alongside the Mobile Education Teacher (project manager) and support their educational lessons.
- Assist with the using of educational tablets to reinforce the curriculum for students
Essential Criteria:
- Fluent in English written and oral.
- Qualification in Animation
- 10-ton Truck Driving License
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal capabilities
- Ability to successfully handle several Project activities simultaneously
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work under pressure, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, meet deadlines and proves high level of flexibility
- Ability to work in multicultural environments and spend time in different and diverse locations all over the country
- Ability to work with staff and volunteers involved in the educational projects.
- Self-motivated and able to recommend options for resolution of complex issues;
- Able to handle confidential and politically sensitive issues in a responsible and mature manner
Desirable:
- Experience with humanitarian work
- Familiar with technology (computers and tablets)
