The Tech for Food Digital Skills Training Program aims to maximize vulnerable communities’ livelihood and build sustainable capacity opportunities through tailored programs that tap into a growing Digital Economy. The program, managed by AUB-CCECS in collaboration with the Kayany Foundation and funded by the World Food Programme, provides basic and advanced Digital Skills and English for IT training for disadvantaged Syrian refugee and host community youth in Beirut, Mount Lebanon and in the Bekaa. Local instructors deliver the training under the supervision of the AUB faculty. Key areas of Responsibility
- Lead English class of up to 25 participants.
- Coach in basic English conversational skills.
- Train students in basic IT-related vocabulary and language.
- Train students in soft skills through conversational skills
Key Characteristics
- Passionate working with young people and disadvantaged communities
- Able to communicate with young and disadvantaged communities, especially when addressing their needs.
Qualifications
- A relevant Bachelor’s degree, preferably in TEFL or English language
- Minimum one year of experience in teaching/training/tutoring (previous experience working with underprivileged communities would be an added advantage)
- Good presentation and communication (verbal and written) skills
- Good facilitation and time management skills
- Knowledge of soft skills required for workplace readiness
- Fluency in English and Arabic is essential

Min Hours 12/week – Max hours 24/week in first 2 weeks (April 30 – May 11)
Min Hours 6 hours/week Max hours 12 hours/week for 10 weeks (May 11-July 13)
