Youth Led Initiative

Main RESPONSABILITIES

• Provide effective guidance and technical assistance to Life skills officers, in terms of sustainable project planning, including budget forecasting, community-led needs assessment and evaluating community-based actions;
• Collaborate with the external consultant for the elaboration of a methodology based on previous AVSI experiences and develop a youth led initiative manual with an evaluation methodology respecting AVSI’s M&E guidelines;
• Set up the Youth led initiative module and elaborate calendar youth lead initiatives covering a range of topics pertinent to self-empowerment, social cohesion and civic awareness, with Life Skills officers, in coordination with the Life Skills coordinator, following the methodologies set by the livelihood department;
• Ensure the quality of implementation of youth led initiatives on the field and ensure integrated approach to programming;
• Insure follow up of the beneficiaries to track youth development, with Life Skills officers;
• Develop comprehensive evaluation and monitoring tools to measure the impact of Youth Led Initiatives’ impact in communities in collaboration with the M&E Department;
• Provide reports along the year to the Project coordinator/M&E department including quantitative data and full descriptive narrative as per the project annual work plan;
• Insure the success of the organized activities respecting logistical, administrative and communication processes aligned with donor’s rules and requirements;
• Be informed about new methodologies, activities and discussions regarding youth-led community based initiatives and social cohesion thematic to innovate the program activities;
• Responsible of maintaining the archiving system up to date (both in hardcopies and electronically).
• Perform any other relevant duties as required.

STUDIES REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Development/Humanitarian Studies or Social Science

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of 2 year of relevant work experience in an organization.

• Strong organizational and team working skills;
• Good communication and interpersonal skills;
• Strong documentation, research and report writing skills.
