Responsibilities
- To support SIF fulfill its mission by creating an S4D curriculum
- Every curriculum should be adapted for different group age
- Plan and implement the curriculum with beneficiaries, with the help of coaches recruited and trained by him/her
- Conduct focus groups with the beneficiaries
- Ensure the activities are monitored and delivered to a high quality
- Report any accident to the line manager
- Create tools to measure the impact of the activities (pre-posttest, focus group discussions)
- Identify, screen, and report cases of youths that are in need of additional assistance.
- Liaising regularly with Project Manager to guarantee the smooth operation of the program
- Understanding clear targets and activity plans per centre and per location
- Ensuring that the weekly work plan is respected in the field including development of activities, results, challenges, and achievements of the project as per templates
- To follow SIF procedures and standards, including health and safety and equal opportunities, in relation to its staff, volunteers and beneficiaries.
- To maintain the confidential information of SIF and of the work you would be involved in.
TEAM MANAGEMENT
- Ensure a good communication – coordination – information level of each member of the team through regular coordination meetings (or other if needed).
- Ensure conflict resolution (personal and professional) within the team and inform the Program manager.
REPORTING
Reports directly to SIF’s Beirut Office, to the Program Manager. S/he will submit the following reports at the end of each week:
- Submit to SIF by the end of each month a monthly report regarding the beneficiaries attendance and coach’s attendance.
- Submit monthly a progress report.
- Submit at the end of the project a report measuring the quality and impact of the S4D
- The Narrative Report which includes: the number of beneficiaries disaggregated, actions taken, number of house-visits conducted, awareness raising activities, number of people attending the session with breakdown per age group and gender; should also include charts, trend analysis and solution.
PERSON QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications, experience and competencies:
- University degree in a social development related field (Sports, education, psychology, specialized education or social animation).
- Relevant experience of at least 3 years with national or international NGO relevant experience.
- At least 1 year experience in PSS
- Awareness of Human Rights and Refugee International Laws.
- Knowledge of the psychosocial guidelines and approaches related to children in emergencies context (MHPSS IASC guidelines, CFS guidelines, etc.); Demonstrated leadership, Results Based Management, including monitoring and reporting, linking protection programs and budgets, as well as database management.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong organizational and work planning skills and the ability to work in a high volume work environment.
- Able to establish and maintain effective working relations with people of different cultural backgrounds.
- Strong cross-cultural communication and resilience skills are very important.
- Excellent command of English and Arabic (speaking and writing), French an asset.
- Confident and proficient in the use of MS Office, especially Excel and Word.
- Experience of proactively identifying and addressing issues, proven problem solving and organizational skills.
