Project Officer Entrepreneurship

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

The responsibilities and tasks include, but are not limited to:

• Work with the program management and stakeholders in order to ensure a successful implementation of the program activities.
• Develop and timely implement the programme, focussing on starting a business in a fragile context;
• Work closely with implementing partners and beneficiaries among entrepreneurs and existing businesses.
• Main focal point and support point for Implementing Partners
• Identify, welcome and coach selected entrepreneurs in the creation and/or development of a company;
• Liaise with government and business stakeholders to ensure the impact of the programme and synergy with other relevant initiatives;
• Study, analyse and evaluate the business plans presented by entrepreneurs;
• Accompanying entrepreneurs for information gathering and development of markets;
• Provide organizational and logistical support for other missions and ongoing activities;
• Provide support with internal and external reporting.
• Other tasks as required.

Requirements and Skills

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience working in the field of SME and business development within a fragile context, including hands on experience/knowledge in SMEs or start-ups;
• The organizational ability to coordinate hands-on training for SMEs and/or start-ups;
• Relevant educational background, for example in business development or economics is an advantage;
• Previous experience in developing and conducting trainings for students;
• Proven experience in analysing business needs;
• Has a network of Syrian entrepreneurs and entrepreneurship ecosystem;
• Has knowledge of the business market, gaps and roles of different industries;
• Ability to work independently;
• Fluency in English and Arabic required.
• Lebanese nationality only.

SPARK Offers

• A gross monthly salary between 1.200 USD to 1.600 USD based on a fulltime appointment and on relevant experience for this position;
• International and dynamic working environment;
• Full-time contract for 8 months with possibility of extension.
