In close collaboration with project team, the trainer will provide women beneficiaries with basic understanding of the essential oils, their origin, ways of their extraction and potential uses with a special focus on four plant species, namely: Rosa damascena, Thymbra spicata, Salvia triloba and Lavandula angustifolia.
The trainings will be divided into 12 theoretical sessions and 1 practical session in four villages in Akkar. The trainer will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Develop the training curricula and materials
- Provide ideas and inputs to make the training active and interesting to beneficiaries
- Monitor and review the progress of beneficiaries through discussions and interactions
- Train women beneficiaries in aromatic plants water and oil extraction techniques
- Provide farmers training covering the following points: Introduction to essential oils and extraction procedures and potential uses
- Provide Practical session about setting up and running essential oil extraction unit for the above mentioned aromatic plants species
