Visual Arts Assistant at Sawa for Development and Aid

Job Description:

-Assist the Visual Arts animator with their duties. (Check the Visual Art animator duties below).

Duties of Visual Arts Animator:

- Develops clear and concise instructional lesson plans and organizes class time to provide a balanced program of preparation, instruction.

- Search and select the targeted participants.

-Teaching relevant skills, tactics, and techniques

- Monitoring and enhancing performance by providing tuition, encouragement and constructive feedback

-Identifying strengths and weaknesses

- Organizes storage areas and controls the use of materials and equipment to prevent loss, abuse, injury, or security breech.

- Demonstrate and assist students to use different techniques and media to develop art works aligned to their artistic abilities

- Provide instruction that encourages students to understand and appreciate art

- Encourage students to express their own personalities and thoughts through the creative process

- Show students how to properly use and care for materials, tools and equipment 

- Plan, coordinate and prepare art displays and exhibitions

- Assigns duties to choral assistants as necessary.

-The animator will take a training on the activities they should apply based on the manual that Sawa provides.

Qualifications/Requirements, Knowledge and Experience of the Visual Arts assistant:

-University degree in related field.

-Minimum 2 years of work in relevant field.

-Communication skills

-Team working skills

-Ability to adapt to new environments and be flexible given the nature of the work ( i.e. constant changes happening on the ground, movement of the refugees…)
