Supervision of case management interventions with vulnerable women, men and children with a focus on gender-based violence survivors in addition to children and their caregivers survivors of violence, abuse, exploitation and neglect.
Your main duties and responsibilities will be:
• Ensure that caseworkers provide case management in compliance with best-practice and international standards in GBV& CP response, and that at all times caseworkers are safeguarding the safety and respect of the survivor, the child best interest, in addition to the confidentiality of his/her information and his/her right to access services without any discrimination including mandatory reporting requirements.
• Provide age and gender appropriate and specialized technical guidance to CP &GBV caseworkers on case management and psychosocial support to children, women and girls, including guidance on caring for child survivors.
• Hold inter-agency case conference meetings for high-risk cases when needed
• Ensure that all high risk cases in which judicial intervention is required are referred immediately to UPEL or Himaya, after liaising with the Protection Manager and with the support and input of the case workers.
• Supervise the caseworkers and ensure the quality provision of emotional support group sessions to women and girls at risk of or survivors of gender based violence in compliance with best-practice and DRC’s guidelines
• Produce monthly reports and support the Manager in submitting internal and donor reports as per schedule and provide feedback of actions taken to Officers and other agencies when necessary
• Monthly auditing of filing procedures and Bi-weekly review of open cases using case supervision tools and develop systems for regular supervision of case management.
• Support the implementation of monitoring and evaluation tools and report on problems in the implementation of the program
• Train all newly recruited CP and GBV case workers on the case management process, the relevant SOPs and the data filing and storing procedures. Ensure proper training and coaching of newly recruited CP and GBV case workers prior to their deployment to the field.
• Act as inter-agency focal point of the CP and GBV case management hubs, receive and respond to case management referrals in a timely manner whilst prioritizing cases according to risk level.
About you
To be successful in this role we expect you to have Bachelor/Degree in Social work, Counseling, psychology or other related field and preferred to have Master degree in social work and/or psychology.
Moreover, we also expect the following:
Required
• At least 2-4 years of experience in counseling survivors of gender-based violence and providing GBV case management to individuals at risk of or survivors of GBV and/or at least 2-4 years of experience in child protection case management and providing counseling to children and their caregivers survivors of violence, abuse, exploitation and neglect
• NGO experience
• Strong written and oral communication skills, effective in representation and liaison with external parties.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality, respect, non-discrimination and safety of client at all times;
• Ability to provide technical support, trainings and supervision of GBV and CP caseworkers
• Strong ability to organize work, meet deadlines, maintain composure, prioritize work under pressure, coordinate multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail
• Computer literacy (Microsoft Word and Excel)
• Fluency in Arabic and ability to communicate and write clearly in English is a must
Desirable
• Comfortable in a multi-cultural environment, flexible and able to handle pressure well
• Flexibility in working overtime when needed
• Previous experience working with Syrian refugees in Lebanon is preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, creativity and flexibility
