Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Data Collection
Perform data collection and processing activities, using smart phone technology according to Mapping SOPs
Input into data collection plan with Data Collection Officer
Support logistics activities
Ensure that equipment is fully charged and well maintained on a daily basis
Communication
Liaise with local communities, municipalities and refugees on site
Communicate implementation problems or issues to Data Collection Officer, Project Manager, or Security Focal Point as appropriate
Work in team with other data collection assistants, drivers, data entry assistants, data collection officer, GIS officer and IM Project Manager for project implementation
Other
Follow Medair security guidelines at all times and report any security incidents or concerns immediately
Drive a Medair vehicle to and from project sites, following Medair vehicle policy and road regulations
Represent Medair in informal settlements and communicate key messages as required
Raise internal referrals for sites and individuals as appropriate, being sensitive to site and household needs
Attend internal coordination meetings and trainings as required
Be willing and able to visit the Medair Zahle office when necessary
Participate in trainings with Medair mapping partners
Adhere to the Medair Code of Ethics at all times
Any other reasonable duties, as required by line manager
Person Specification:
Some work experience, preferably in NGOs
Able to use smart phone
Technical aptitude to pick up digital data collection methods
Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Word and excel
Aptitude for community mobilisation and engagement
Team-player with good inter-personal skills
Willing to support others and share workloads
Capacity to work under pressure and manage personal stress levels
Creative, open-minded, flexible, self-learner
Ability to adapt communication strategies for different situations
Strong communication, particularly verbal
Good in Mathematics
-Understanding of Data collection principles and interest in Social work.
-Holding Lebanese driving licence for at least 5 years.
