Centre Administrator

General Purpose of the position
The Centre Administrator ensures the smooth running of the JRS Centre in Burj Hammoud and reports to the Centre Social Worker.
Main Responsibilities of the Position
1)      Centre Administration

  • Ensure receipt, payment, documentation and filing of all Expenses (e.g. Phone cards, bills for electricity, water, internet, daily staff expenses etc.)
  • Maintenance of all centre equipment and updates the asset and inventory list in close collaboration with the Bookkeeper of FVDL.
  • Assist the Centre Social Worker in organizing office and outdoor activities.
  • Responsible for order, hygiene, and maintenance of the office.
  • Maintain the baking in the kitchen.

2)      Course Administration

  • Assist in ordering and preparing all materials and supplies needed for the courses and keeps stock book.
  • Collects and files information about the courses and participants.
  • Keep hard and soft copies of participants’ attendance.
  • Prepare graduation certificates.

3)      Communications & Courier duties:

  • Assists the Social Worker in the preparation of the monthly report on the activities of the centre (Social Work, Life skills and Vocational Training).
  • Delivery and Retrieval of documents as required. Can delegate to Centre Guard when need arises.

4)      Hosting & Hospitality

  • Ensure a prompt and warm welcome to all at the Centre.
  • Arrange logistics for meetings or hosting of visiting staff.
  • Ensure prompt execution of other tasks which are within the ambit of a Centre Administrator which may be requested by the Centre Social Worker as needs occur.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Knowledge of English and Arabic both written and spoken is required
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
  • Ability to write and edit reports under deadlines
  • Ability to work in multicultural environment
  • Ability to perform under pressure
  • Ability to work independently and respecting deadlines
  • Motivated, hard working, and very reliable
