Communication Officer

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the NGO communication with different target audiences, including journalists, partners, and the community. He/She will be using written, verbal and visual skills to create communication materials that reflect the positive work done by the organization.

The Communication Officer will be working closely with the Communication Manager on all tasks.

Primary Responsibilities:

● Ability to work with a widespread team around Lebanon and Turkey.
● Follow up on all the activities happening in the organization’s centers, handle and coordinate all its visual assets.
● Write press releases, success stories, and newsletters in both Arabic and English based on a brief.
● Ability to handle DSLR cameras.
● Basic Adobe Photoshop and Premiere skills.
● Manage all social media outlets (Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram), update them continuously, and evaluate the progress using Facebook insights and
other evaluation tools.
● Communicate with the media, send press releases, organize their visits to our center, and follow up on their produced materials.
● Ability to generate creative ideas and crowdfunding campaigns.
● Assist in developing a social media and a communication strategy with the Communications Manager.
● Organize and archive all materials produced and collected.
● Scheduled visitations to our centers in Shatila, Bekaa and Tripoli.

Required Qualifications:

● Bachelor’s degree in a subject area relevant to the position, such as communication, journalism, media studies, or other related fields.
● A minimum of 3 years experience in the field of media and communication.
● Great creative and organizational skills.
● Fluency in English and Arabic, both verbal and written.
● Ability to work with people from different backgrounds and on different tasks.
● Proficiency in dealing with DSLR cameras and editing softwares
