Driver

The driver will be responsible for providing vehicle transportation services for Land O’Lakes employees, volunteers, and designated partners within project sites. This position is responsible for passenger safety.  In addition to driving staff, the individual will be called upon to perform errands as directed. This position will also monitor equipment and perform limited maintenance.

Position Summary and Primary Responsibilities:

• Drive the project vehicles on scheduled and approved routes
• Perform routine vehicle inspection and maintenance including checking the oil, fuel, brakes, lights, windshield wipers, and water and tire pressures
• Read and understand specific vehicle operating manuals (download information from the internet as necessary) and is able to operate every device in the vehicle 
• Ensure that the Vehicle Log Book is properly recorded and maintained
• Liaise with the Administrative Assistant to ensure the Project Vehicle registration and insurance policy are up-to-date
• Keep assigned vehicle clean inside and outside
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date records and other records that are requested from management
• Perform minor maintenance tasks on assigned vehicles as required
• Coordinate the schedule for major or periodic vehicle maintenance with management and staff to minimize service interruptions
• Offer suggestions to the Management Team on how to further increase the efficiency of the vehicle operations with the aim of reducing costs with little-to-no impacts on vehicle operations (safeguarding of organizational assets)
• Complete and submit in a timely basis incident and all supporting reports in accordance with the policies of Land O’Lakes
• Watch over safeguarding of organizational assets
• Monitor situation and always stay alert about security incidents
