Treasurer

Major Responsibilities:

  • Conducting regular cash counts and ensuring amount recorded equals amount in safe at all times.
  • Keep live updated records in journal of all petty cash transactions (in/out).
  • Receive, verify receipts and totals, and make payments for all petty cash payments.
  • Receive cash when applicable and issue receipts.
  • Monitor level of petty cash and request replenishment when reaching lower threshold.
  • Electronic data entry for petty cash transactions file (excel, CAPCOS/GLACOS, monthly closure).
  • Keeping confidential and safe the key/codes to the safe.

Job Requirements:                                                                           

Academic Qualification

  • Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
  • Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures.
  • Relevant certification (e.g. CMA or CPA) will be preferred.

Professional Experience

  • At least 2 years of clerical experience in the area of finance and accounting.
  • Experience in report writing.

 Skills

  • Spoken and written fluency in English and Arabic. (French is a plus)
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Highly organized and attentive to details.
  • initiative, high sense of responsibility, organizational and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills.
