Data Entry Operator - Protection Department

Purpose:

The Protection Data Entry Operator carries out data processing of information on people entitled to protection under international humanitarian law using specialized case-management software.

Certifications / Education required

• High school or equivalent.

• Very good command of the national language plus English, French.
• Computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (knowledge of SQL or Virtual Basic programming languages an asset).

Professional Experience required

• Experience working with databases.

• No ICRC experience required.

Functional responsibilities

• Carries out data processing

• Controls the data entry made by the field teams and reports errors/discrepancies/etc.

• Participates in data corrections.

• Carries out basic data analysis upon request.

• Carries out simple office work such typing, filing, photocopying, etc.; creates the individual files for the new beneficiaries;

• Updates individuals' protection paper files (registrations cards, individual files, reference files, etc.) and follows up on them closely;

• May be asked to translate forms and data from the local language to English or French and vice versa.
