HR & Administrative Coordinator

  1. Background

The Lebanon Reforestation Initiative (LRI) is a Lebanese NGO registered at the Ministry of Interior and Municipalities under no. 1186 on 18 June 2014. LRI started as a project launched in 2010 by the United States Forest Service (USFS) Office of International Programs (IP) through the support and funding of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). LRI's mission is to restore Lebanon's native forests and to instill commitment to reforestation and wildfire prevention and response, through capacity building of local communities and organizations.

  1. Purpose of the Position

LRI seeks a full-time HR & Administrative Coordinator knowledgeable in office management and HR procedures. The position is a full-time position for a period of 1-year renewable based on available funding and performance.

The Administrative Coordinator is expected to perform the following duties:

  1. Administration & Office Management
  •  Support in the preparation, update and implementation of the organizational policies and procedures;
  •  Ensure that the organization meets all legislative requirements in Lebanon and ensure compliance;
  • Manage office logistics to ensure safe and smooth office operation;
  •  Establish and maintain general filing system for the Office;
  • Maintain register for office equipment and property/facility management according to the asset inventory policy;
  • Compile agenda of staff meetings and minutes of meeting;
  • Handle the Petty Cash and submit a report to the finance team;
  • Conduct regular vetting of suppliers and beneficiaries according to the USAID regulations;
  • Support in other admin tasks as needed;
  • Participate in LRI events and activities and support in their preparation.
  1. Human Resources
  • Coordinate and support the preparation, update and implementation of the organizational staff policies and procedures and ensure staff compliance with all organizational policies and procedures, including the collection and compilation of timesheets, leaves and compensatory balances;
  • Support the NGO Director in organizing annual staff appraisals;
  • Support staff orientation and conduct staff development as well as other administrative duties to ensure an optimal work performance;
  • Compile all the staff’s training schedule and reports;

 

  1. Qualifications

The Administrative Coordinator should possess the following competencies, skills, and experience:

  • Experience in HR and administration
  • Experience in data management and archiving is a plus
  • High organizational skills
  • High proficiency in Office Package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet and Email)
  • Flexibility and readiness to take on additional tasks
  • Excellent in English and Arabic
