Arts Education Program Coordinator

Duties and Responsibilities:

Students

  • Outreach students to the program through field campaigns, social media, collaboration with other non- governmental organizations that work with children, and neighboring schools.
  • Perform registration procedures and keeps updated records at all times.
  • Prepare all student/parent related forms in Arabic (registration form, etc.) ahead of the academic year.
  • Make sure that all forms are properly filled in by the parents and information uploaded on the student database.
  • Update students’ attendance on the designated database.
  • Contact parents in case of repeated student absenteeism, investigate matters and report to his/her superior.
  • Monitor student conduct arriving and leaving the center.
  • Monitor the students when a teacher is absent and teacher replacement is not available.
  • Report to his/her superior about any needy children who may require sponsorship.

Teachers

  • Create a file for each teacher containing the ID, CV, Letter of Engagement and any other document required.
  • Establish teaching schedules for all courses.
  • Prepare class lists for the teachers ahead of start of classes.
  • Keep updated records of teachers’ attendance and present accurate records to her/his superior.
  • Is a resource person for the teachers in terms of parents’ contact.

 

The Arts Program

  • Attend classes regularly to ensure that the agreed upon curriculum is being implemented.
  • Observe teachers in classes assessing efficient and appropriate interaction with the students and reports monthly to his/her supervisor.
  • Make sure that individual student progress is regularly assessed using agreed upon assessment tools.

 

Communication

  • Contribute to the association’s social media platforms and website.
  • Contribute to the association’s newsletter.
  • Work closely with the Head of Arts Education to follow up with donors and sponsors.

Administrative

  • Ensure that all courses have the necessary resources and provide them in case of any deficiency.
  • Acknowledge all emergency procedures and keep two first aid kits updated.
  • Make appropriate preparation for course related outing and documents; the date, place, and number of students participating and names of monitors for each student trip.
  • Close the center at the end of classes; locking the doors, turning off lights and computers.
  • Help out with other administrative tasks related to the arts education program when needed.

 

NB: The salary for this full-time position is expected to be US$ 800.
