Research Assistant Internship

              A. QUALIFICATIONS 

  • The RA is required to have a BS in public health, biology, psychology or any relevant field.
  • The RA is required to have at least 1-year research experience.

 

   B. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

             Data collection

  1. The RA is responsible for conducting brief phone questionnaires with a list of registered psychiatrists and psychologists.
  2. The RA is responsible for completing questionnaires phone and/or email with a list of registered community mental health services.
  3. The RA is responsible for completing questionnaires phone and/or email with a list of registered community services relevant to the call center, based on need.
  4.  The RA is responsible for archiving collected data into comprehensive and classified excel sheets.

 

              Data presentation

  1. The RA is responsible for developing a presentable user friendly system/document with all data collected on referrals.
  2. The RA is responsible for assisting helpline operators in locating needed urgent and non-urgent referral requests.

 

              Data analysis

  1. The RA is responsible for reviewing referral indicators from the call center software for updates as necessary.
  2. The RA is responsible for reviewing data collected from call center software on requests for referrals and subsequent community availability for conclusions.

 

C. TIME COMMITMENT

 

  • 7 hours per day
  • Weekly research meetings with Research Coordinator

 

D. REPORTING

  • The RA reports to the Research Coordinator.
