FINANCE OFFICER

GVC is an Italian NGO founded in 1971 and is currently working in 22 countries worldwide. GVC presence in Lebanon dates back to the start of the Syrian Crisis and since then GVC has been implementing emergency and development projects in Bekaa financed by International Donors mainly in Emergency Response.

GVC is actually recruiting personnel to cover the position of Finance Officer to support activities in Bekaa

Job Title: FINANCE Officer

Duty Station: GVC Office in Zahle with possible travel to project areas.

Line Manager: GVC Finance Coordinator.

Responsible for: management of cash & bank, correct registration of all GVC financial movements, and forecast of expenditures.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• • Register financial movements in GVC accountancy system and expenditures according to project and budget lines pertinent to GVC budget holders’ indications;
  • Manage GVC cash and bank accounts assuring availability of cheque books and using GVC payment tools;
  • Reconcile all bank and cash accounts on a monthly basis;
  • Liaise with logistics and administration to cancel accruals according to contractual obligations and budget holders’ authorisations;
  • Liaise with logistics and administration to update GVC tools to support financial forecasts per project;
  • Revise the correct implementation of procurement and templates before releasing payments;
  • Advise on allocations and donor procedures;
  • Manage transfers, balances and reconciliation of cashbooks from other GVC offices;
  • Support in preparing financial reports;
  • Keep the invoices according to GVC filing system in collaboration with the finance assistant.
