Social worker GBV program Aley

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • case management for GBV women and girls.

  • Plan and conduct psycho-social support sessions to beneficiaries. PSS sessions will include a pre/post wellbeing measurement, session evaluation, performance evaluation and other M&E tools.

  • Provide age appropriate counseling for vulnerable girls and children while being mindful of how to care for child survivors and working in the best interest of the child.
  • Safe identification of beneficiaries of GBV .
  • Identify opportunities for awareness raising, whether at a community center or other safe space. Plan the sessions to include children or children and caregivers. 
  • Organize focus group discussions on relevant information when needed.
  • To identify protection concerns of young girls and women within the community they are working in; i.e. any trends should be reported to GBV officer and advocate for gaps in PSS activities or services.
  • Prepare and submit reports in timely manner.
  • Attend Tabitha's and other trainings when relevant training is available in coordination with GBV Program Officer and/or Program Manager. 
  • Prepare, take-part and document meetings.
  • Attend meetings
  • Promote Gender Equality.
  • Support and participate in other activities at the center when needed.

 

Qualifications:

University degree in Social Work or related fields (BA or Masters)

Minimum 1 year in the field of social work.

Fluency in English and Arabic is required.

Previous experience working with GBV survivors, previous experience working in MHPSS is a plus.

Previous NGO experience is a plus.

Adheres to ethical considerations and principles in regards to working with vulnerable populations.

Actively promote PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) standards within Tabitha and amongst beneficiaries served by the NGO
