Institute of Progressive Women

We seek to create a society where when women and men enjoy the same rights and opportunities across all sectors through:

 1- Achieving gender equality and elimination of all forms of discrimination against women in all spheres through awareness-raising on women’s social, economic, and political rights.
2- Empowering rural women through the implementation of income-generating micro-projects.
3- Uniting women's efforts and building an effective feminist movement that does not eliminate ideological and political pluralism, open a dialogue with different women of different orientations, as well as the importance of strengthening the masses of women's organizations through partnership and networking
4- Improving the access of girls and women to educational opportunities and eradicating illiteracy.
5- Lobbying for a minimum of 30% women quota in local and national elections
6- Combating all forms of violence against women, whether physical or moral, through the establishment of a system of women's rights
7- Challenging the stereotypical image of women in the media
8- Promoting women’s role in environmental sustainability.
9- Creating a network between the various decision-makers, political leaders and women NGOs in order to prioritize women issues on the national agenda
10- Achieving equality in terms of the provision of health services particularly the reproductive health services.
11- Supporting enacting a optional civil law for personal status
