Job Content/Key Tasks:
The Project Coordinator tasks are to:
1- Establish and/or strengthen the accountability framework of the project.
2- Contribute to the capacity building of partner staff on protection related topics
3- Support the implementation of protection activities and promote stronger awareness of old age programming.
4- Closely monitor the implementation of the project activities and use of monitoring tools by implementing partners.
5- Conduct regular field visits to the project sites to ensure proper implementation of the project activities
6- Collaborate with project personnel in designing sound approaches for the implementation of project activities.
7- Support and facilitate participation of older people and other stakeholders in monitoring and evaluation processes in order to improve organisational accountability
8- Provide guidance to partner staff on the implementation of the monitoring and vulnerability assessment tools.
9- Develop high quality educational and communication materials to support programme implementation.
10- Identify bottlenecks and suggest corrective measurements
11- Prepare progress and final reports for all project activities.
12- Ensure contract deliverables are met as well as donor and management reports are accurate and timely.
13- Advise on lessons sharing methods at programme, national and international levels to promote learning across the project and contribute to an overall impact assessment framework
14- Participate in sector meetings related to health and protection and advocate for the inclusion of people with specific needs in humanitarian programs
15- Undertake all duties as and when necessary to fulfil the objectives of the project according to donor requirements and HelpAge's internal policies and procedures.
Desired:
- Understanding of delivering humanitarian response in insecure environments.
- Experience across the entire project cycle from design, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation and in particular for projects and programs targeting vulnerable groups and those marginalized by mainstream services, such as refugees, older people and people living with disabilities.
- Previous experience in issues related to protection, gender based violence.
- Capacity development of field and head quarter colleagues, local partners and national networks, through the provision of training, support and transfer of technical knowledge.

- A minimum of 3 years of experience working in the humanitarian field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in project coordination including field supervision, monitoring and evaluation and reporting
