- Fundraising
- Provide strategic direction and oversee all aspects of fundraising plans.
- Coordinate with colleagues to ensure that assigned donors have an optimal level of interaction with management and program staff.
- Develop strategies for attracting new and diverse donors and build relationships with individuals who are not yet invested in the association.
- Helps organize and engages donors in special events, and field trips.
- Prepares with attention to detail and ensures timely delivery of written materials (print and online) to current and prospective donors, grant applications, letters, proposals, reports.
- Regularly reviews portfolio and donor strategies with other development team members to refine approaches.
- Supports the planning, execution, and follow up associated with fundraising events.
- Managing and supporting the grants requirement and implementation for the organization
- Identify and develop strategies to optimize the grants administration process
- Perform relevant research to identify available Fundraising opportunities and evaluate the results
- Experience grants design with UN agencies/EU/ USAID preferable.
Marketing & Communications
- Develop and implement a Marketing Plan for Ana Aqra’s products and services
- Promote Ana Aqra as a service provider (with the support of the Communication Officer).
- Review and become acquainted with Ana Aqra education products and Services
- Assess the Education Market locally and regionally
- Design and package for the purpose of selling
- Promote Ana Aqra as a service provider
- Evaluate and contribute towards improved product development to match market needs.
Business Development
- Assess the Education Market locally, regionally and internationally to identify opportunities to commercialize Ana Aqra’s products and services
- Develop, maintain and update on an annual basis a Business Development Plan with income targets (with the support of the Finance Manager and Executive Director)
- Identify, cultivate and grow a pipeline of commercialization leads that serves as the basis for developing the income targets of the Business Development Plan
- Develop proposals, pitch and secure project wins to meet the income targets of the Business Development Plan.
Qualifications & Experience
- University Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related; Master’s Degree (desirable);
- Previous experience in marketing and sales preferably in the education sector;
- Ability to conduct marketing surveys/campaigns for potential expansion with the Association strategy
- Excellent use of computer with command on MS Excel among other packages of MS Office; knowledge of CRM (desirable);
- Proven skills in critical thinking, assessment and analysis;
- Demonstrated ability in report writing and presentation;
- Excellent organizational skills with demonstrated ability to execute projects on time and on budget;
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Experience researching and developing funding strategies
- Ability to successfully interact with people of diverse backgrounds
- Self-starter, must work independently as well as within teams
- Excellent project management skills
- Excellent written, verbal and public presentation skills.
