Who we are
ARK Group DMCC is a stabilisation, development and conflict transformation consultancy that provide research-informed analysis and policy recommendations, as well as evidence-based interventions, in conflict-affected areas. Working with and through local communities, we seek to understand and then mitigate the negative effects of conflict and instability to enhance community safety and promote human security, development and economic opportunity.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
The responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Process project related payments for suppliers and consultants through the Payment Request system.
- Obtain due diligence data and request screenings against sanctions databases for all project related vendors.
- Carry out project related procurement activities in line with ARK and donor policies and procedures.
- Support Project Manager with partner management, including tracking of deliverables, expense reports and accuracy of invoicing against approved budget.
- Maintain up to date inventory records for all project assets held by ARK and delivery partners.
- Handle all project related travel requests through the ARK Travel Management System.
- Assist the HR Department with project staff monthly time-reporting and payroll as required.
- Ensuring accurate files for project related expenses and supporting documents are held by the Finance Department.
- Support the Finance Department with cash requests and other financial documents for project expenses.
- Work closely with project teams and partners on compliance issues and interpretation of grant rules and regulations.
- Assist in the preparation and delivery of staff and partner training and internal capacity building.
- Support the Project Manager and Finance Department on project reporting requirements.
- Participate in regular programme board meetings.
- Take initiative to identify and analyse potential issues impacting project delivery schedule, quality and objectives.
Education and experience
- BA/BS degree in a related field such as International Relations, Public Administration, Business Administration.
- Minimum of three years of administrative and/or technical experience working with a contractor or international NGO managing US funded projects. Candidates without US funding experience will not be considered.
- Up to date trainings or certifications on compliance and administration of US grants and cooperative agreements.
