Functional Prerequisite:
- Holder of a university degree is preferable, mainly in the field of education, social sciences, computer sciences, or business administration.
- Previous working experience in non-governmental organizations and/or surveys is preferable.
- Good command of English and Arabic.
- Good computer skills.
- Good communication, cultural understanding, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong writing skills, preferably with a history of writing for media, and ability to produce quality communication materials within tight deadlines.
- Strong social media skills (e.g. Facebook/websites/Twitter/blogs).
- Strong organizational and personal management skills, with ability to prioritize work issues to meet deadlines.
- Knowledge on photography and video productions for social media is preferable.
- Ability to travel to NPA field offices (Tyr, Ras Baalbek as well as project locations on a regular basis.
- Holder of a driver’s license.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to adapt to harsh environment and work calmly under pressure and with limited supervision.

Description of Duties:
Operational admin duties:
- Translate for the Technical Field manager on a needs basis.
- Take minutes of operational meetings and upload onto Share Point.
- Prepare official letters for authorities and send to the Senior Admin Officer.
- Conduct procurement when required as instructed by Logistics and the TFM.
Mine Risk Education (MRE):
- Support the Implementation of Mine Risk Education sessions for identified target groups.
- Support the TFM with liaison for various stakeholders identified for the project.
Socio Economic Impact Assessments (IA):
- Support the implementation of Pre, during and Post Impact Assessments (IA).
- Visit communities to liaise with leaders and other key people to gather details about the Impact of Explosive Remnants of War (ERW).
- Accurately document this information using agreed forms, maps, photographs and additional notes and submit to the operations department.
- Identify and collect good quality case study information and photographs.
- Aware of gender mainstreaming concepts and ready to participate in raising gender awareness.
Humanitarian Disarmament Communications:
- Support the Programme Assistant in producing digital contents (stories, photos, posts and videos) to be used on NPA Lebanon social media and other global sites occasionally.
- Support the Programme Assistant to work with the programme teams/departments to develop social media strategies, and visibility and communications plans for the programme.
Gender Focal Point:
- Ensure that gender mainstreaming is included in all grant proposals, concept papers and donor reports.
- Be ready to respond to and discuss with donors and relevant stakeholders NPA’s HD gender mainstreaming policy and activities.
- Ensure that gender indicators are included as part of the socio economic impact assessment.
- Support training and awareness raising initiatives in gender mainstreaming at NPA HD Lebanon.
- Participate in relevant events on gender mainstreaming related to HD in Lebanon.
*Additionally, this position will support the IMO on log booking and reporting when required.
*Perform other duties as assigned by line manager.
