Animator - Taanayel

General objectives & tasks:

1- Activities Implementation:

• Implement activities of the project according to the children’s age and situation.
• Organize and deliver recreational activities for targeted children (children of business development training’s beneficiaries).
• Promote, ensure and consider the child as the central actor in the activities.
• Promote unity between children through collaboration & cooperation in child-friendly activities.
• Identify within the activities the children in need of further assistance and report any observed problem of a child to the Protection and
• Gender Coordinator for necessary support or referral to other supportive network.
• Act in the best interest of the child by switching negative emotions into positive interactions.
• Plan a daily/weekly activity schedule that includes recreation, expressive activities like drama, drawing and time for small group/large group activities.
• Post the schedule that should include various activities for every age group.
• Implement a variety of structured games and activities within the child friendly space, catering to the needs of children of different ages, genders, and abilities.
• Ensure equal participation of girls and boys, children who have mental or physical impairment.
• Establish a rotation system to promote the sharing of equipment and games between children.
• Take children to the bathroom and change diapers when needed.

2- Safety Measurements:

• Ensure the comfy, safety and respect of children.
• Ensure a safe and child-friendly atmosphere within the centers including no physical discipline or fighting occurs.
• Ensure that children will be safe going to and from the centers.
• Ensure that all games and equipment are accounted for and stored securely at the end of day.
• Serve as protection focal point in the field (protection referral and monitoring), for which training and guidance will be provided.
• Complete other tasks as requested by the project coordinator with technical support from NEF’s protection and gender coordinator.

Working schedule:5 days/week

Type of contract: 8 months till August 2019
