Non-Discrimination and Reinforcement of Women Peace and Security Agenda in the MENA Region

ABAAD-Resource Center for Gender Equality, in partnership with Women's League for International Peace and Freedom (WILPF) and in collaboration with the United Nations Interim Forces (UNFIL) in South Lebanon, organized the National Consultation Meeting on May 10th, 2012 at Holiday Inn, Dunes Hotel in Verdun, Beirut. The national consultation came within the framework of a broader regional process set to initiate a regional action agenda that aims at identifying constraints and opportunities for the advancement of women rights in the MENA region. This paper presents an outline of the conference as well as group findings and outputs.
